To be a WUTMI member, a chapter must have its own set of corporate papers, be operational with established officers and active members, and pay registration and annual membership fees.
WUTMI presently has a total of seven
office/project staff. Full-time staff includes our executive director
and account/administrative
assistant. As project staff, WUTMI has three project directors and two
certified parent educators. Some projects
also call for contractual staff, and WUTMI also relies of the help of
several volunteers.
The Executive Committee directly manages the conduct and the progress of WUTMI business. The Executive Committee currently consists of one President, two Vice-Presidents, two Secretaries, one Treasurer, four advisors and the presidents of our two largest chapters, Majuro and Kwajelein. Serving the Executive Committee are the WUTMI staff and volunteers. Executive Committee officers are elected every two years by the General Assembly. The Executive Committee selects its advisors based on their commitment to WUTMI (generally former officers) and their varying areas of expertise (business, education, traditional protocol, etc.). Under general advisement from the WUTMI General Assembly, the Executive Board (consisting of the Executive Committee, chapter presidents and Leroij) has general oversight and provides long-range planning and guidance over WUTMI affairs. 2006-2008 Executive Committee
